Make 3D Stars for Decorating the New Years Party
You won't believe how easy it is to brand your own 3-D stars! I like to employ both paper and fabric to make large three dimensional decor. These stars are a fun, cheap manner to decorate your home.

Supplies:
- Decorative Paper
- Material or Burlap
- Textile Stiffener
- Forest Numbers
- Gold Pigment
- Gold Thread
- Star Template

Beginning, find a star template that is the shape you like. I used THIS gratuitous blueprint which I saved to my computer and then printed out on my home printer. Cut out the star to brand your template.
To make the paper stars, trace the star template on the back of decorative card stock paper. Cutting out the star.

Utilize a scoring tool to score the star. Start at the point and go downward the middle to the other finish. Echo this with each point.

Brainstorm folding the star in half on each scored line. Fold the star, open it, and then fold it again at another bespeak.

Once all of the points have been folded, accept two next points, fold them in half, and press the together as pictured. Release the 2 points, and echo this with the next two adjacent points. This will create the needed creases for the 3-D star.

Place the star on a flat surface, and press downwardly on the heart gently to flatten the star. Newspaper stars can exist hung with a chip of pasty tack on the back of the star.

To brand the fabric stars, first cut squares from the desired fabric. I used burlap for my stars.

Paint the fabric with a generous corporeality of fabric stiffener. I used Stiffy by Plaid Crafts. Moisture the fabric well, and permit it dry completely.

Trace the star template on the dorsum of the fabric, and cut out the star.

Y'all will non need to score the fabric. Simply fold it at each point equally I explained in the steps higher up for the paper star.

Hot glue a bit of golden thread to the dorsum of the star to create a loop that tin can exist used to hang the stars.

I'1000 using my 3-D stars to create pall decor for the new year's day! I painted wood numbers gilt to match the paper and textile stars. This quick project is a fun way to decorate for the new year!
